NEW GAME DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
Server rollbacks are your saving grace. However, they can only be used in very specific circumstances. Here's everything you need to know.
You need to meet these requirements in order to enforce a rollback:
Be the only player online at the point of rollback (or alternatively have the approval of EVERY player online at that time. If one or more players don't agree, you do not qualify for a rollback).
Note: We're transitioning to Realms Stories, to accurately track playtime and ensure your claims are valid. You need to be enrolled so qualify for a rollback. See Discord for details.
Be a member of the Legends SMP for at least 10 days.
Have the permission of a game developer (currently only @omuraxd)
Fit within time limits. Time limits vary - a developer will walk through this process to save you time.
We appreciate that these rules may be confusing. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
Alright, you ready?
Step 1: Contact a Dev
You need to contact a game developer (@omuraxd) ASAP. Not doing so can delay the rollback process, and can lead to other players interfering.
Step 2: Gain permission of everyone online
*If you are the only player online at your time of death, you don't need to worry about this step.
In all cases, a Developer has to verify the authenticity of your claims. No reset will happen until every online player has agreed to rollback - unless they are AFK for 30 minutes or longer.
Step 3: Agree on a rollback time
Server rollbacks have fixed timings, as they are automatically backed up depending on when people log on. The developer will contact you (by text or voice) to confirm which time frame would fix the issue with the least disruption caused to other players.
Step 4: Log off and wait for further updates
These rollbacks are very fast, and can complete in a matter of minutes. When a server rollback occurs, you'll be kicked. Wait for about 30 seconds, and log back in. You may be put on a loading screen that takes slightly longer than usual. This is normal!
Step 5: Breathe a sigh of relief
All done! Enjoy playing the SMP again!
You will lose some progress by doing this.
In-game compensation will be administered if it is discovered that progress was reset more than expected.
Server rollbacks can't be a common occurrence.
Although every player has access to them, please don't request a rollback more than once every 2 weeks - your request may otherwise be refused.
Always maintain good relationships with our members.
It's not the requestor's fault if someone else loses progress. Responsibility is held with the developer, who will compensate for any progression loss caused. Don't get frustrated at other people.
