NEW GAME DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
Follow through this guide and we can help you get back to enjoying the server. If everything here doesn't solve your SMP problem, please make a bug report or suggestion in our Discord!
The issues you're experiencing could be from a number of causes, so we might have a hard time figuring it out.
Regardless, before you make a bug report, please try the following suggestions!
If none of these remedy your issue, please make a bug report on our Discord using the link at the bottom of this page.
It sounds simple, but sometimes your device can get caught up in the chaos. Restarting your device can help clear bad files that were accidentally loaded, so it's a good place to start.
We've noticed that this fixes various issues on Consoles, so try this if you're stuck for ideas!
Please refer to your device manufacturer on instructions about how to restart or power cycle your device.
If a Legends SMP file has become corrupt, it can cause many, many issues. The good news is, you can clear these files, and download new, pristine files from the server again.
Clearing your cache also helps to free up storage space, which is a common cause of issues among most players.
Note that if there is no option to clear your cache, there's a Minecraft error - Restarting your device fixes this.
Sometimes, players may get the error code "3x801" in the bottom right corner: this is caused by a corrupted cache or trying to edit Legends SMP Data. If you get this error code and you don't think it's an error on your end - make a bug report immediately.
If a Legends SMP file has become corrupt, it can cause many, many issues - and sometimes servers can't fix this.
First, clear your cache as outlined in Solution 2.
Next, refer to our download link for Season 6 Resources.
Download every file from the Google Drive folder to your computer.
Next, double-click every file you have downloaded. It should automatically open, and import itself into the game.
Now try joining the SMP as usual!
Devices can become too hot occasionally, which is a common cause of various issues - corrupted graphics, crashes, and (for PC Players) bluescreens.
Check that:
Your device isn't getting too hot
(PC Players) Ensure your device has enough memory available (<90% full)
You have a stable internet connection
You have enough storage space on your device (>10% free) -
For PC Players - If your memory usage and disk usage are very high at the same time, it's a good indicator to say that you're running out of RAM. You can remedy this issue by closing all other running apps, reducing startup apps in Task Manager, or freeing up some storage space.
On our discord, we have a bug report channel. Before raising your issue with us, please check to see if it's already been reported. If it hasn't, feel free to make a bug report!
It's probably an issue on our end. Report a bug by going to #bug-report-suggestions on our Discord, or alternatively clicking the link below.
