The SMP was never actually meant to happen: The world was started as a way to get every achievement in Minecraft. It was named "Project Minecraft", and eventually turned it into a realm for people to play even if some players are offline. Originally it was a solo world, however, at the peak 1.15 of Minecraft, everyone wanted to play together.

Season 1 started with the creativity update - allowing players and developers to use Creative Mode without disabling achievements, so we could add our own story to the already existing world.

It started with a meteor crash, which brought a nether-like 'egg' to the world. Quickly spreading and corrupting nearby villages, it eventually corrupted parts of the main village. Here, "The Unknown" had arrived. His intentions unknown, he was corrupting the world at a fast rate.

The Unknown continues his desire for power, beginning the next stage of his plan (that we don't know about - yet). He travels to his main 'power place' in the main village, beginning to shapeshift and transform to a new lifeform. A character concerning The Unknown watches from the sky, and doesn't like where things are going. In retaliation, he sends down a form of reality controller. Now as the host of the Legends SMP Reality, they have every power to destroy the world through the destruction of this device. The introduction of this sent down other lifeforms, which you could interact with.

After corrupting land, destroying locations, and modifying buildings, the Unknown's reality device becomes unstable. With both characters and players preparing for anything, the Unknown makes one final corruption attempt through the use of his mini-ship - Linking to the reality device and attempting to gain control of it. However, this comes to an abrupt end after a new high-tech organisation destroys his ship. Thinking that the reality device brought the Unknown to the LSMP world, it is destroyed. However, this had the opposite effect and destroyed most of the universe. Players then wake up to a new reality - with new ores, elemental bows, and a new island. 

As players explore the new world, the Unknown is hungry for revenge. After being spotted in the sky, people must prepare to defend the island from all types of extraterrestrial beings. Exploring beyond the island was now possible, thanks to new teleporters. You can now gather new wood types, make Maple Syrup and of course, prepare for future attacks.

After using his powerful ships to come back to the (new) LSMP world, The Unknown makes a return - starting a war with players of the SMP. His plan is at the climax, so all of his forces are being put into destroying all worlds. It's now up to the players to save the reality that lots call home.

In response, players built a homebase, which will be the starting point for the end-of-season live event. With the introduction of new, powerful features, players are becoming ready to take on the final fight with The Unknown.

The climax of the Unknown's plan has arrived. With new, limited-time weaponry, players needed to take out Radium Zombies that The Unknown had created to corrupt nearby mobs. Whilst this was happening, the Unknown initiated his second part of the plan. Using 4 flying ships, a new Reality Orb was made - thus controlling the entire spawn area of the SMP. Using an opening portal, the Unknown was able to reach into the ever-corrupting Season 2 Map, grabbing his missile from the previous dimension. Travelling back to the current universe, the missile had collided with the Reality Orb, creating an explosion big enough to tear apart the Season 5 Map and knock out the player.

Yet somehow consciousness is restored, but not in the place that you think you're in. A yet-to-be-known organisation has revived you, and sent you to "Reality Z139" to be safe.

After being forced to move by The Unknown's incredible destruction, the Organisation leads the portal to Reality Z139. A new world, and a fresh start for many. The Organisation, whose members appear briefly in The Takeover, force us through a new device to get there and be safe, forever. But what exactly is this device?
